My Philosophy
Learning is messy.
I like to create, so I tend to pursue opportunities for projects — often trans-disciplinary and with a community partner. I believe the most impactful, meaningful learning stems from real-time planning, problem-solving, relationship-building, and reflecting. That requires adapting, processing, and evaluating, none of which are easy. In other words, it’s messy. I want students to embrace the mess!
Moreover, I rarely ever expect anything from somebody that I don’t expect from myself. I place work ethic and attitude at a premium. I value authenticity and respect. Honest discussion. And respect for different backgrounds and perspectives.
